Gemini Sports Analytics -- April Newsletter
We are delighted to be kicking off an exciting collaboration in the fall with the University of Virginia:
Gemini’s mission is to empower sports teams to make key decisions 10x faster using AI Could to automate and augment the most tedious and complex parts of the data science process. Insights are driven by powerful machine learning capabilities presented in a simple, interactive user interface.
Some questions and example NCAA use cases that can be addressed using the GSA application:
How do we combine all our existing data sets together to help guide our decision making?
Which players in the transfer portal are the best fit for our team style + are projected to make the biggest impact on our unique strengths and weaknesses in 2023 and 2024?
How do we construct the best rosters? How should we ‘value’ NIL?
What is the optimal training volume, intensity, and recovery modality in a busy travel period for each athlete to allow them to perform at their best during games?

New Team Members
We are excited to welcome Ally Brabant and Cody Swann to the team as Head of Product and Principal Software Engineer! Both have worked for large sports tech companies in the past (Catapult, Second Spectrum, ESPN) and know the industry well.
They will spearhead our product-led growth and are excited to serve data-focused organizations all over the world in helping them organize, streamline, and apply their data to real-time results using AI and machine learning capabilities.
GSA Product Updates
This month saw three exciting new updates to the GSA application user interface.
New Landing Page designed with feedback from early partners to make the beginning of the user experience more visually friendly. Users now can easily navigate to existing or pre-built AI projects or build their own!
My Datasets helps our users get the most out of their existing data through easy creation and exploration of tables from databases using no-code buttons or with SQL. This page will also provide users with more options for filtering data as well as 16 new visualization tools to better understand trends and patterns presented.
My Dashboards page displays constructed shareable visualizations from projects made in the application. These reports can also be customized using filter widgets and more.
